Out to Lunch with Tori: The Taste of Midland

On a hot summer’s day, a group of three hungry Midlanders made their way to a small cantina on the outskirts of town, eager for a refreshing drink and a good meal. The sun burned bright as they entered the cool interior of a red, modest-sized building bearing a sign that read “The Taste of Midland.” The Ritter family was up for anything the lunch hour would bring.

My parents had read several of my previous “Out to Lunch” columns and wanted in on the fun. As it happened, our schedules lined up perfectly thanks to the extended holiday weekend (two of us had at least the whole afternoon off) and I figured it was about time they joined in on the fun.
