What are the desirable features sellers promote in real estate listings? The research team for the online marketplace Zillow analyzed descriptions of homes for sale in Portland and “fireplace” was mentioned the most, appearing in one in three listings.
Details about Portland dwellings also include a patio, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings and a kitchen with granite counters and stainless-steel appliances.
Sustainable and eco-friendly features were included in 19.9{28ab41d673507bfe0daf970418d2e81f9476b3e139564442359ad7402c370b16} of Portland’s descriptions, while they showed up in only 7{28ab41d673507bfe0daf970418d2e81f9476b3e139564442359ad7402c370b16} of all U.S. listings, according to the Zillow survey.
Gardens are also unusually common in Portland, mentioned in 16{28ab41d673507bfe0daf970418d2e81f9476b3e139564442359ad7402c370b16} of listings. Only 9{28ab41d673507bfe0daf970418d2e81f9476b3e139564442359ad7402c370b16} of listings nationally mention a garden, says Zillow.
On the opposite end of the rankings, pools are mentioned in 20{28ab41d673507bfe0daf970418d2e81f9476b3e139564442359ad7402c370b16} of U.S. listings, but only 5.5{28ab41d673507bfe0daf970418d2e81f9476b3e139564442359ad7402c370b16} of Portland listings.
