Riverside Avondale garden tour Saturday

Immerse yourself in the beauty of spring on Saturday, May 8, during the Riverside Avondale Garden Tour. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the event highlights both large and small gardens as homeowners share the wide variety of outdoor spaces tailored for relaxation and enjoyment in this historic neighborhood.

Held for the first time in many years, the tour includes 12 residential homes, five businesses and three community parks. Visitors may walk, bike, drive or ride as they discover inspiration and learn tips or tricks to transform their own yards.

Highlights also include drinks and refreshments at many locations, live music from local performers and expert gardeners on hand to answer questions or provide advice.

Tickets may be purchased from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the day of the event at the Riverside Avondale Preservation office, 2623 Herschel St. Tickets may also be purchased at Riverside Arts Market starting at 10 a.m. For more information visit RiversideAvondale.org and RiversideArtsMarket.com

Give Mom an early Mother's Day present by taking her on a garden tour, hosted by Riverside Avondale Preservation on May 8.
